Our story
Exnaton originated in 2017 from a research project at ETH Zurich, aiming to involve private households in the energy transition actively. With support from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, our founders established Switzerland's first local energy community.
The project's success garnered international media attention and recognition in renowned scientific journals, leading to the formation of Exnaton as an ETH spin-off in 2020. Since then, our company has grown rapidly. As an official SAP partner, we support over 25 energy providers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg in efficiently managing complex energy data and offering innovative renewable energy products.
With the backing of strong investors, we continuously develop our billing platform. From energy sharing and dynamic tariffs to EV smart charging, we are setting new standards in the energy transition.
